For anyone who loves pretty dresses and finds it difficult to locate pretty AND modest dresses that drip with style, check out Shabby Apple. They have a new line out called Skyscraper. It is hard not to drool over these dresses....and the shoes that the models wear. I really like this one. I really like all of them.
It's funny how things get done (running wise) when I have the motivation of a new pair of shoes (TJ Maxx, here I come.). My rule is that when I buy a new pair, I have to get rid of a pair in my closet. I know just which ones, too. There will be lots of shopping in my closet this summer--wearing cute summer clothes (hence, lots of running and weights so that I actually CAN wear them) that I haven't worn in a couple of years, and having a dress shortened so that it doesn't scream 1998, but rather classy chic and always in style.

I love Shabby Apple but have only ordered a couple things. Dresses are my favorite splurge (even though I don't have anywhere to wear them anymore - besides church). My newest great dress is actually from LandsEnd believe it or not. It's one of those button downs, 3/4 sleeve, black, tie waist..I love it with heels (and I saw it on sale today darn it). LE runs big so order down if you do buy anything from them - not that you would based on my rec! Keep us posted on the training too - I used to be a cross country gal. Those were the days!
I've heard that LandsEnd has some really nice things nowadays. Not that they didn't before, but I think the styles they had before just weren't what I was into. Now, I love their stuff. Your dress sounds really pretty!
I'm just hoping to finish this 1/2 marathon. My husband did cross country and is the real runner in the family. :)
